Box top

Sorry about the photo quality. I'm not real sure what is wrong with my camera but today this was as clear as I could get it. Seems like it has a fog over it. Anyways I made a gift box from SCS site and since I only own two Christmas stamps I added one at the top left and another at the bottom right. But I decided I had all these ribbon birds now filling my drawer and instead of a bow I decided this would look real cute and here it is.

Super Tiny Flock

I really tried to push the limit on the ribbon birds I made these two super tiny. I don't think I can get any smaller thou I'm still going to try. The purple ribbon bird is actually smaller then the gold, green an red on there. The body is about half the size thou its hard to tell in the photo. I did have to use to pairs of pointed tweezers to weave the ribbon together lol.

The Flock

I went crazy last night with the little ribbon birds lol. This is my flock. I made two of them half the size of the originals the two in the front are the tiny birds. I also thought about how i could hang these cuties on the tree and decided I'm going to take some floral wire bend it in half an stick in thru the bottom of the body and make legs that will grasp to the tree branches.

Ribbon Bird

I haven't messed much with any of the ribbon I have. Besides using it as a hanger for the ornaments and a few times to accent a card. But I seen this bird made of ribbon here http://icandream.com/crafts/a/ribbon/bird/index.shtml
I love it I absolutely love this craft. Its very easy to make and the results are wonderful. I'm going to try the next bird using cloth ribbon (See Juliana I'm going to finally use the ribbon I won lol) and see how that turns out. *Edit note* Trying this on cloth ribbon did NOT turn out for me. The ribbon would fray really bad and the tail broke when I attempted a tiny curving curl lol

Sonobe Ornament.

OK all. I seen the tutorial for this ornament over on Splitcoaststampers and decided it was to cute to pass up. I got out my paper, ribbons and cutter with the tutorial up and started. This would of been about 8:00 AM. finally around 10:00 PM I got it put together. I did find the directions to be VERY vague and confusing. Not her fault I searched the Internet and found around 12 sites all with confusing directions. The only reason I finally got it put together was pure luck, but now I see how to do it I'm considering putting up my own tutorial to make this wonderful ornament showing the steps closer that was to hard to understand in all of the other tutorials so keep an eye out for it if you want to make one of these too.

I will say that I really like this ornament.

Christmas!! (Long post)

So I told you after I started to feel better I was going to go crazy and here I went .
This first one here is the pine cone ball ornament from http://inkspirations.blogspot.com/search/label/Christmas
This is just two squares put together into a diamond shape and stamped with the only two Christmas stamps I own lol.

This picture I'm not sure what they are called thou this is origami. I made them in two different sizes and I really love how they turned out.

Here is these star book ornaments that I made I got the tutorial off of http://inkspirations.blogspot.com/search/label/Christmas Its a wonderful site with some great stuff.

Here is the star book ornaments closed you can hang them either way.

This was my attempt at the tag punch flowers. Again as before I don't have these punches so I had to draw up my own and try my best.

Here is another tag punch flower I seen the video tutorial on dawn5377's youtube videos.

I don't remember where I seen this tutorial but its for a 3D Christmas tree for the front of a card. I decided this one was going to hang on the tree this year.

I don't exactly what this is suppose to be, But I can tell you when I was unfolding it to make the circle for the life of me it wouldn't match up in size so I was reduced to try an trim it with scissors finally I just stopped and said OK it looks fine now.

This is my FAVORITE one. Kusudama ball. I suggest everyone making this. It did take me a long time to fold all the pieces required to make it. And a lot of glue but this darling ornament is VERY STURDY. As you hold it you can feel the weight an sturdiness of it. I want to make many more but it does take a longgg time to make. After folding up this one my hand started to ache A A LOT. But it was worth it.

These are Finnish stars. I love how they turned out.

This tree is made from one of the modules of the Kusudama ball up there ^. While making the ball I noticed one of them laying with the wide end down and thought that looks just like a Christmas tree and then this tree was born.

I hope you enjoyed my post. I had said before this year I'm working on making my entire tree nothing more then paper items.

Stamping OoPs

So I guess a lot of times us Stampers tend to oops up here and there. This is some examples in my case. The picture on the left was a Christmas Ornament ball. It was made with flower origami design then glued together to form a ball. Caution to the wise these are VERY Fragile lol. This is what happens when a 12 year old accidental puts pressure onto it. On the right is first an corner bookmark I had attempted to make look like Christmas using glitter glue to form Icicles. Well that really turned out to look more like glitter boogers. And the frog card, This was originally made for a 7 year old boy that attends my children's church group. This was a disaster from the start. I had to do his poor toes 3 times I kept loosing one, or they would bend up. Then I tried to write Hoppy Birthday really cute but because the blue part is glued onto the green it looked weird. I got the bright idea to go over it with Black permanent marker. Well now it smells like marker to much, plus you can see the original black pen writing under it. I had a nice little ribbon to on there with a back cover but for some reason when I picked up the card it stayed glued to the table LOL. I failed

Bookworm Bookmark

Well it has been awhile since I last posted anything. I'm right handed and awhile back I had broken my right hand pinkie finger in one spot and my hand in three places which made it very hard to do anything.
I've been feeling much better the last few days so I decided I'm trying a project.
I have seen a lot of the large paperclips made into bookmarks. And I wanted to try one. This is what I came up with.

How cute. I made a girl Caterpillar (bookworm) I added pink paperclip glasses and purple ribbon on her antenna's. I wasn't going to add the orange hair on her but I used craft tacky glue to hold the glasses on which stuck my finger to her face. This left a icky looking smudge so i used orange marker to make curly little hair on her to cover it lol.
It's also very hard to tell but between her antenna's I made a bite mark out of one of the leaves. I held her to the leaves with two pop up dots. Not real sure if it will hold together so I will pray that it does lol.
What do you think??
Well I'm going to post this now and work on some Christmas Ornaments I have a lot of catching up to do lol.
Until next time happy stamping
